De Addictions & Eradication of Evil Customs
This movement was started on 13-12-1988, by adopting a resolution in a big conference. In addition to the then Governor of Rajasthan Sate, respected Shri Veerashwarji Upadhyaya from Shantikunj Haridwar and about 2000 senior Gayatri parijans from the state, were present in the said conference. After the said resolution, to consolidate the messages of Shantikunj Haridwar, Tapobhoomi, and Mathura for the guidance of volunteers, a series of their releases from Shantikunj Haridwar started. In this chain, its 5th edition was released on Vasant Panchami 2003 by the hands of highly respected Dr. Pranav Pandya and highly respected Didi Shaill Bala Pandya. This guideline has proved to be source of inspiration to the parijans attached to this movement. So much so that the Maddh Nished Deptt. U P Govt. has adopted it. In addition to this volunteers’ guide, there are number of other helping material like Exhibition, Banner, sticker, Audio-Video cassettes, medicines, pamphlets, Mukhote, dress, small plays, slides, different literature etc. As per local demands, after preparing a trainee team here, was sent to different parts of the country along with the materials, to train them and to co-operate with them in organizing different programmes and the said co-operation is still continuing. For world and Bharat’s tour one cycle yatra was taken out. All these progressive issues/programmes have been given proper places from time to rime in mission’s magazines (Pragya Abhiyan, Akhand Jyoti, Yug Nirman Yojna) and in other literature. On 31st May every year Vishva Tobacco Nishedh Divas is celebrated, with the help of about 25 institutions, in which representative of World Health Organization also participate.
On first Sunday of June every year one addictions Kavya Goshti is organized at Gayatri Kunj, Mulipura wherein the presence of the senior parijans and renowned poets, representative is encouraging .One film titled Punarjanam (Re-birth) regarding wine is under production. The film, poster, sticker, pamphlets, flax banner etc together with the address pamphlets on Feticide have been prepared and are being sent to different areas for the guidance of the volunteers. Rallies are being organized. In eastern areas in Manipur, Nepal & Bhutan training was imparted on additiction mukti. One Liquor Fair was organized by a foreign institution in Rambagh Palace on 16-07-2007, which was got closed with the help of some other institutions.
